Traffic on the Wendell H. Ford Western Kentucky Parkway will be reduced to one lane beginning Sunday, Nov. 3 and continuing on for approximately four weeks.
The one-lane stretch will be located in the westbound lane between mile markers 100 and 104 (between the Leitchfield and Caneyville exits).
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KTC) contract crews will be working to conduct base failure repairs and drainage repairs. Weather conditions have the potential to lengthen the four-week time frame.
Once these repairs are completed, the roadway will be ready for resurfacing, which is planned for next spring, according to the KTC.
Public Information Officer Chris Jessie said, “Motorists should reduce their speed and pay close attention to signage upon approach of the work zone.”
