The June meeting of the Grayson County Retired Teachers’ Association (GCRTA) was held at the new Board of Education Building on Friday, June 10, 2016.
After enjoying fresh fruit, donuts and coffee, GCRTA President Glenda Goff provided updates regarding the state convention as well as the Fourth District news to the members. Along with KRTA’s newsletter, e-blasts will soon be emailed to retirees who have provided their email addresses. This will allow prompt dissemination of information.

Treasurer – Carol Webb
Membership – Sharon Moore
PR – Karen Taylor.
Dues of $10 for membership in GCRTA will be collected at the next meeting in August. GCRTA and KRTA are non-partisan groups who work towards awareness of legislative issues and programs impacting current and future retired teachers. Plans for upcoming “Day Trips” and other adventures will be discussed at the August meeting.

GCRTA’s next meeting is Friday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m. at the Grayson County Board of Education office on Shaw Station Road. All retired educators are invited to attend.
