Officials at Rough River Lake are asking the public to help prevent vandalism to the recently installed Laurel Branch Fishing Pier.

In a Wednesday, May 24 statement on the Rough River Lake U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Facebook page, officials reported that individuals have recently been removing parts from the Laurel Branch Fishing Pier, located near the beach, as well as the courtesy dock at North Fork.

“It is very upsetting to work so hard to provide nice facilities for our visitors only to have them damaged on purpose,” the statement read.

The Corps is requesting that the public be vigilant in observing for vandalism to these and any other facilities at Rough River Lake, and to report any vandalism by calling 270-257-2061 or 270-205-8298.
