Exit 107 Homes begins construction

Construction of new business Exit 107 Homes has begun in Leitchfield on 280 Commerce Dr.

The business, a manufactured housing retailer for the county, started excavation several weeks ago, while actual construction began Monday, Aug. 8, according to co-owner Lauri Marksberry.

“[We] hoped it’d be open by now. If weather holds out and everything goes smoothly, I hope to open in 60 days,” said Marksberry, who credited recent rainy weather for the delay.

Lauri Marksberry said she and her husband/Exit 107 Homes co-owner, Jimmy Marksberry, chose Leitchfield as the location for Exit 107 Homes because it had the best marketing analysis in the area.

If the business is successful, the couple eventually wants to expand.

“At some point, we want to sell RVs and campers,” said Lauri Marksberry. “Everything but Class A [motor homes].”

Anyone who wants a manufactured home is welcome to visit Exit 107 Homes on 280 Commerce Dr., according to Lauri Marksberry.
