First Baptist celebrating Under the Big Top

The Leitchfield First Baptist Church will be celebrating the Freedom/Fiddling Festival on Saturday, July 16, with its Under the Big Top program.

The church will be setting up a red and white striped circus tent this weekend to give out free hot dogs and bottled water from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to those enjoying the festival.

For their third year of giving away free food and drinks, the First Baptist Church is adding on to its program with different booths in a circus style starting at 4:00 p.m.

Church volunteers will have snow cones, face painting, children’s crafts, and photo and dunking booths, as well as a magic show, all of which are free to the public.

“We want to give back to the community,” Event Coordinator Christy Baxter said, adding that the church has built on to the program every year for the past three years.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy the free food, entertainment and fun at the Leitchfield First Baptist Church under the red and white tent for a circus themed weekend at the Freedom/Fiddling Festival.
