The Grayson County Diabetes Support Group has resumed their meetings and are changing their meeting location. As of the April 6 meeting, the group will meet at the Grayson County Extension Office in the large conference room at 1:00 p.m. The public is invited to come to any of the meetings to get free information and educational material, which teaches how to lead a healthy life with diabetes. Classes are taught by Natalie Taul, Grayson County Extension Agent for Family & Consumer Sciences. Taul will feature a different educational topic each month.
Classes will be held on the following schedule:
Ø April 6, 2016 – Cholesterol & Intro to Nutrition
Ø May 12, 2016 – Carbohydrate Counting & Nutrition
Ø June 9, 2016 – Getting Routine Care
The classes are free, but advanced registration is required by calling the Grayson County Extension Service at (270) 259-3492. The class is subject to cancellation if there are less than five registered participants. You should park in the back of the building and enter in the West entrance door.
