The Grayson Springs Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution has been collecting and distributing books for Grayson County children.

Our goal when we started this program was that every child in Grayson County would have a book of his or her own. We reached that goal!

We have given out over 6,000 books, and thanks to the generosity of the Leitchfield Christian Academy, we have amassed many more books, and that will allow us to continue this program.

Moving all the books was quite a process, but thanks to the help of the gentlemen of the Detention Center, we got them all moved. Our thanks go out to Dave, Derrick, Edward, Cardreus and Michael for their hard work.

Our motto is “Today’s readers are tomorrow’s leaders,” and we will continue this program into the future and hope to expand it.
