Sports fanatics have something to cheer about, because Hibbett Sports is now offering shoppers a location closer to home. The franchise is expected to open its new store, located on West Elizabethtown Road in Leitchfield, by the fall of this year.
Hibbett Sports offers an abundance of products, athletic apparel, athletic shoes, sports equipment, weights, training materials and much more. They are over 750 Hibbett stores found in 24 states across the country.
Strohbeck Construction Project Manager Becky McGregor is overseeing the construction efforts for the Leitchfield store.
“We are in the middle of the project right now,” McGregor elaborated. “Estimated completion date is by the end of September. That is when Hibbetts will start to come in and stock the shelves, and start hiring employees. We began working on the building in the middle of June. Estimated completion is two months from that point.”
McGregor added that right now crews were working diligently on flooring, drywall, and plumbing and electrical inside the building.
This is the second time that Strohbeck has worked with Hibbett Sports. The Strohbeck company specializes in commercial retail sites, in addition to general contracting.
