An updated listing of area roadwork was released this week by Kentucky Transportation Cabinet’s District 4 Public Information Officer Chris Jessie, outlining highway and parkway areas where caution should be used.
Work is currently being done along Western Kentucky Parkway at both ends of the county.
Near Caneyville, between mile-points 95 and 106, traffic is reduced to one lane, and a reduced speed limit of 55 miles per hour is being enforced in the construction zone.
Work here is expected to be completed in early September.
Near Clarkson, between mile-points 114 and 118, traffic is reduced to only the eastbound lane through the project zone, with wide load restrictions.
Lane closures will be taken down at the end of this week, but will be reestablished in early September to complete the work, which the Transportation Cabinet hopes to have finished by the end of September.
Again, a 55 mile per hour speed limit is being enforced in the construction zone.
As part of a county-wide project scheduled to be completed this month, sections of KY 224, KY 2778 and KY 3210 are being resurfaced.
Motorists are advised to exercise additional caution along these roadways, and to watch for flaggers, who are directing traffic around paving operations.
