Three individuals were injured in a collision on Commerce Drive on Friday afternoon, June 13.

At approximately 3:02 p.m. on Friday, the Leitchfield Fire and Police Departments and Grayson County Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident near the 600 block of Commerce Dr. in Leitchfield.

LPD Patrolman Jesse Townsend said on the scene that, prior to the collision, a 2003 Suzuki XL-7 Grand Vitara was travelling west, and a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica was travelling east.

According to an LPD accident report, the driver of the Chrysler, Jessica Curd, 16, of Leitchfield, stated the Suzuki entered into her path of travel resulting in a head-on collision.

Townsend said three were transported from the scene by GC EMS to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening, accident-related injuries.

Also in the Chrysler at the time of the accident were Isabel Curd, 45, of Leitchfield, and Michelle Curd, 11, of Leitchfield, both of whom were transported to TLRMC, Townsend said.

The driver of the Suzuki, Tabitha Miller, 36, of Caneyville, was the only individual in the vehicle at the time of the crash and had to be extricated by LFD personnel, according to Townsend.

Miller was also transported to TLRMC.

Miller told police that she could only remember that she had left Communicare and was travelling west on Commerce Dr, but she couldn’t remember the accident, according to the accident report.

Jessica Curd reported no injuries as a result of the accident.

The Suzuki was removed from the scene by Galloways Towing, and the Chrysler was removed from the scene by Tow-N-Go Towing.
