Grayson County High School FFA students have kicked off the annual Greenhouse Plant Sale for 2014.

The popular plant sale will continue on through Friday, May 23 in the greenhouse behind the school, near the football field.

The student-based enterprise is operated by students enrolled in the Greenhouse Technology course and features a variety of decorative plants and vegetable plants which have been carefully grown by the school’s Horticulture Education students.

Four inch pots and four-packs of plants cost just one dollar, while hanging baskets of ferns, petunias, impatiens and mixed baskets are available for seven dollars each.

The proceeds from the plant sale go directly back into the school’s FFA program to fund seed and supplies for the next year’s greenhouse operation.

Anyone interested in purchasing plants is encouraged to stop by the greenhouse during school hours or to call 270-259-4078 for additional information.
