Letter to the Editor

April 18, 2014

To the Editor:

We are already planning the third annual Extreme 3:16 Youth Rally for 2014 at the Grayson Co. Fairgrounds, a drug awareness event titled “War Against Addictions.”

The dates have been set for Sept. 12 and 13 (Fri. and Sat.), and we are starting early this year to better prepare and to give everyone time and opportunity to participate.

We have already started booking groups and speakers. Shirts and posters are being made, and donations are being accepted.

We plan to do something a little different this year. We would like local youth groups, pastors, and churches to participate. If you have a worship team or any youth group that wants to be a part of this event, you can call Dennis and Pam Jaggers at 270-879-6417 or 270-287-3531.

Now we would like to challenge our county officials. We need your help and hope you will support this event. We want other counties and states to see our community and see what they can do for theirs.

Grayson Co. is a great place, and we take pride in our youth, but from my own personal experience, I know the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

Let’s work together as Christians should and have concern for how God can minimize the alcohol and drug problem and hopelessness for our children that some battle, not only in our county, but also in our state.

Let’s show how proud we are of our county and our concern for our youth.

God bless and hope to hear from you soon,

Dennis Jaggers
