The Grayson County UK Cooperative Extension Office hosted Thursday’s monthly Chamber of Commerce luncheon in advance of their organization’s upcoming 100th anniversary celebration.
Local agents Jack Ewing, Kindra Ewing Jones and Natalie Taul talked with the group about the history of the organization and the things they offer locally to the Grayson County community.
District Director Ann Smith also spoke, saying “It’s amazing to be part of an organization that reaches everyone. We are there in urban and rural settings, helping people young and old.”
Smith said of the organization’s goal: “We want you to be successful.”
She also said, “We’re excited we’re celebrating 100 years. If you still are in business after a hundred years, you’re relevant.”
The local Extension Office will be hosting a Centennial Celebration on Friday, May 2 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and would like to see everyone stop in to learn more about their program groups and community support.
Visitors can enjoy free food and a tour of the facility as well.
