A tractor-trailer carrying a load of salt ran off of the roadway on Highway 259 South, travelling down a steep ditch and overturning. The incident, which occurred on Monday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. on Monday slowed traffic to one-lane. The driver of the semi was “shaken up, but uninjured” according to Tim Duvall with the Leitchfield Fire Department. LFD, EMS and Grayson County Sheriff’s Department responded to care for the driver, control traffic and clean up the scene of the accident.
