Spring View Health and Rehab Center recently received a four-star rating from the Center for Medicare Services (CMS) for its exceptional care and quality.
The non-profit, Christian-based care facility earned an “Above Average” (four out of five stars) for its previous quarter in all four scoring categories, said Spring View Interim Administrator Jessica Porter.
Spring View received scores for overall rating, health inspection, staffing, and quality measures.
The health inspection grades based on food and clinical services provided by the facility, and the staffing inspection grades the staff in-house per patient, Porter said.
The results of the Spring View inspection, as well as inspections of other care facilities/nursing homes, are available for anyone to view on medicare.gov, according to Porter.
Medicare.gov is the official United States government site for medicare, and its information is gathered from various locations, including the state inspection surveys.
Porter said this information is important for community members to be aware of because, if and when the time comes that a loved one must be placed in a care facility, they can educate themselves on the operations of them and decide for themselves which one is best.
“[These scores] are the ammunition they need to find the best nursing home,” Porter said.
Individuals seeking assistance in finding an appropriate care facility for a loved one or who have any other questions regarding to care facilities or rehabilitation are also encouraged to visit Spring View Health and Rehab.
“Our mission plan is community education,” Porter said. “We’re pretty confident that we can meet about any need out there.”
Spring View also offers financial planning for rehabilitation needs, transportation to the facility for patients, three private rooms, and assignment of a primary medical doctor.
Spring View is located at 718 Goodwin Lane in Leitchfield and may be contacted by phone at 270-259-4036.
