March 25, 2014

The Division of Forestry will be giving away tree seedlings at the UK Extension Office on Thursday, April 3 in recognition of Arbor Day on April 4.

Forest Ranger David Hurt will be handing out 100 dogwood seedlings and 100 red bud seedlings between 9 a.m. and noon in the Extension Office parking lot.

The seeds will be given out on a “first come, first served” basis, Hurt said.

Grayson County Judge Executive Gary Logsdon also signed into effect a proclamation to officially celebrate Friday, April 4 as Arbor Day across the county.
