Local voters have the opportunity to help one non-profit organization receive $2,500 in free advertising from The Grayson County News-Gazette, and now is the time for area non-profits to sign up for their chance to win.

Any non-profit designated organization is encouraged to sign up for a chance to receive free print and/or online advertising space to spread the word about their group throughout the upcoming year.

Registration is currently open, and voting will begin Jan. 27, giving the community the chance to choose which deserving groups will advance to the second round of the contest.

The top five non-profits will be featured in The News-Gazette and will compete in a second round of voting for the top prize.

The final round of voting will take place between February 22 and March 12, and the grand prize winner will be announced at a special nominee luncheon on March 20, hosted by The News-Gazette and it’s parent company, Civitas Media LLC.

The vote-driven giveaway is being held in conjunction with the premier of a new community website - MyOwnLeitchfield.com - which is being launched by The News-Gazette and Civitas Media LLC.

To enter your organization for a chance to win the prize worth $2,500, simply click visitMyOwnLeitchfield.com and click on the nomination link at the top, right corner of the page.

Online voting will take place on MyOwnLeitchfield.com and there will be one vote per person allowed.

The new website is designed to increase community interaction and will allow readers, schools, community organizations, local governments and others to post their favorite photographs, such as vacation or sports photos; share upcoming events, such as a Scout meeting or bake sale; and even write your own blog.
