Grayson County’s first ever Courthouse Country Christmas carried on despite rain on the afternoon of Saturday, December 14.
Numerous community members and county employees gathered around the courthouse on Leitchfield’s Public Square to eat free chili, beans, and cornbread as Christmas songs played from the courthouse speakers.
The chili and beans were prepared by the road department in two large cooking pots set up around the courthouse, according to Grayson County Judge-Executive Gary Logsdon, who also attended the event.
On the event continuing through the rain, Logsdon said, “We believe in Santa Claus. He comes rain or shine.”
