A local man was injured when the 2001 Pontiac Montana he was driving overturned at least twice on the morning of Saturday, November 23.

At around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, the Leitchfield Fire Department, and Grayson County Emergency Medical Services responded to a single-vehicle accident at 3579 Duff Road in Leitchfield.

The driver of the Pontiac, Andrew Vanover, reportedly ran off the road near the bridge on Duff Road and overturned two or three times before coming to a rest, said Grayson County Sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Hammons, who investigated the accident.

Vanover received a number of lacerations as a result of the accident but was “up and walking” when first responders arrived on the scene, Hammons said.

No other individuals were in the Pontiac at the time of the accident.

Vanover, who had recently moved to Grayson County from Texas, was transported from the scene to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center by GC EMS, Hammons reported.

The vehicle was totaled as a result of the accident.
