Louisville author Kimberly Greenwell will hold a book signing at Madison Square Boutique at 202 West White Oak Street in Leitchfield on Thursday, November 14.
Greenwell published her first book, The Bad Date Book - The Stories of a Frog, which tells fictional recounts of a string of bad dates she and her friends underwent, in the spring of this year, and since that time she has travelled around the state for book signings.
Greenwell said her next book signing will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Madison Square Boutique, during which time she will be personally signing copies of The Bad Date Book, as well as reading excerpts from the book.
Greenwell, who previously worked at WAVE 3 news for seven years, said she had been told for sometime to compile her dating experiences into a book.
Following her leaving WAVE 3, Greenwell said she ran as the Democratic nominee for the Kentucky House of Representatives in 2010.
At the same time she ran for office, Greenwell said she also started her own businesses, Single Mingle, an event-coordinating service for single people to meet other single people, and KAG, which provides public relations and sales training.
Finally, in December of 2012, Greenwell said she started writing what became The Bad Date Book, and by March of 2013, the book was finished.
Since the release of The Bad Date Book, Greenwell has also been working on her second book, Ribbit - The Stories of the Frog and the Frogette, which will continue the theme of bad dating from the the male perspective, as well as female.
Individuals who are unable to attend the book signing may still purchase Greenwell’s book online at either www.barnesandnoble.com or www.amazon.com for $14.95.
