Two people were injured when a white Chevrolet truck rear-ended a red car on Monday, November 4.

At around 4:15 p.m. on Monday, the Leitchfield Police and Fire Departments responded to a two-vehicle collision near the crossing of Hillview Drive and Brandenburg Road in Leitchfield.

Leitchfield Fire Chief Jerry Schlosser said at the scene that the male driver of the white Chevrolet told first responders he didn’t see anything and the next thing he knew he had hit a car.

The impact of the collision was reportedly so severe that it broke the front seat of the red car and caused whiplash to its driver, Schlosser said.

The identities of those involved in the accident have not yet been released, but Schlosser reported that the driver of the red car was transported from the scene by Grayson County Emergency Medical Services to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the Chevrolet reportedly had two passengers, one of whom was injured as a result of the accident, as well, Schlosser said.

The accident is currently under investigation by the LPD.
