UPDATED: A single vehicle overturned into a creek, injuring its driver, on Sunday, November 3.

At around 8:49 a.m., the Clarkson Volunteer Fire Department responded to 5589 Elizabethtown Road, just outside of Clarkson, where a burgundy car had overturned on its side into a creek.

Grayson County Sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Hammons, who investigated the accident, reported that a female driver and her two children, all of Louisville, were in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Hammons said the woman had looked down momentarily and when she looked back up, she ran off the side of the road and overturned onto its side in a creek.

Only the woman received minor injuries as a result of the accident, Hammons said.

The names of the individuals involved in the accident have not yet been released.

At the scene, the CVFD reported that all passengers had been taken by Grayson County Emergency Medical Services to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
