Stevenson receives Brumit Scholarship

On September 20, 2014, Lauren Stevenson, a fourth-grade student at Lawler Elementary, was awarded the Makala Rose Brummit Scholarship by several of Brumit’s family members. The scholarship was for $500. Lauren is a pitcher for the 8-U fastpitch traveling team, The Kentucky Beasts. The Beasts finished second in their age group in a tournament held at Buchanon Parki, in Bowling Green. Lauren is the daughter of Michael and Sharon Stevenson.
