Ellis B. Tate, 79, of Falls of Rough, died Friday, November 10, 2017, at Norton's Hospital. He was retired from Colgate-Palmolive Company and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and Breckinridge Masonic Lodge #67. He was preceded in death by his parents, Murray And Rosie Tate; a daughter, Angela Sue Harper; and a brother, Belmont Tate.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Sue Tate, of Falls of Rough; a son, Terry Ellis (Felicia) Tate, of Leitchfield; grandchildren, Andrew and Henry Tate, both of Leitchfield; a brother, Murray Wesley Tate, of Louisiana; and sisters, Dorothy Henderson, of Hardinsburg, Jane Hagerman, of Falls of Rough, Betty Lou Cox, of Owensboro, and Patsy Hamilton, of Lewisport.

Graveside masonic services are 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Macedonia Cemetery, Falls of Rough, with burial to follow. Visitation was 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and will also be from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday at Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville. Online condolences may be made at www.gearyfuneral.com.
