Two people were injured in a three-vehicle collision on William Thomason Byway on Wednesday morning, Nov. 22.

At approximately 11:32 a.m. on Wednesday, the Leitchfield Police Department (LPD), Grayson County Sheriff's Office and Grayson County EMS responded to William Thomason Byway (the bypass) in front of Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center (TLRMC) on a reported injury accident.

According to a collision report filed by LPD Captain Brandon Cook, leading up to the accident, a tan 2007 Mercury Mountaineer, driven by Ellen M. Hayes, of Leitchfield, was attempting to make a left turn from the bypass into the entrance to TLRMC when it turned in front of a black 2012 Nissan Rogue, which was driven by Phyllis R. Vincent, of Clarkson, and travelling southbound on the bypass at the time.

The Mercury and the Nissan collided, and the impact knocked the Nissan into a red 2007 Dodge Caravan, which was driven by Rebecca A. Morris, of Leitchfield, and stopped at the TLRMC entrance, the report reads.

Vincent complained of pain in different areas of her upper body, as well as her right wrist and right knee, and she was transported by EMS to TLRMC for medical treatment for her non-incapacitating injuries.
