The Grayson County Public Library's annual Mini Tree Decorating Contest concluded on Friday, Dec. 1 and the voting has commenced.

Voting is now taking place at the Grayson County Public Library for the third annual Mini Christmas Tree Contest. The contest took place from Nov. until Dec. 1.

The participants in the contest had the freedom to choose any theme, materials and color scheme they wanted to build or decorate a tree, no larger than 32 inches in height.

According to Lisa Jones, library director, "Holly Lancaster, who is in charge of adult programming, came up with the idea for the mini tree contest after seeing it somewhere else and she thought it would be fun to try."

Jones said adults and children were able to participate in this contest.

All members of the community are invited to come in and vote for their favorite tree. All of the trees are numbered so no one knows which tree belongs to whom.

A winner will be announced on Dec. 16.
