Grayson County Tourism's second annual Community Health Fair will be held later this month at the Centre on Main.

This year's Community Health Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Centre on Main, located at 425 South Main St. in Leitchfield.

Attendees will once again have the opportunity to browse numerous booths, enjoy fun activities, sample nutritious meals, and meet health advocates from across the region.

Additionally, while many of the table hosts are from Grayson County, "this year we are also proud to have table hosts coming from as far as Radcliff, Louisville and Indiana," Grayson County Tourism Executive Director Anya Edgley-Turpin said.

According to Edgley-Turpin, as of Tuesday, Jan. 2, more than 40 booths had been reserved by organizations representing every facet of health, including fitness, nutrition, healthcare providers, and leisure recreation.

The first 150 people in line will receive a free goody bag containing various items from participating groups, such as Kentucky Down Under, and sponsors, such as bodybuilding.com. Any attendee who arrives after the first 150 will still be welcome, though, Edgley-Turpin said.

All attendees will receive a "passport" when they arrive, and will be able to complete the passport by visiting the booths at the health fair. Upon their completion of the passport, attendees can turn them in to be entered into drawings for various door prizes, as well.

The event will feature several family- and kid-friendly activities, which, among other things, will include free massages.

Last year's event had about 250 attendees, and organizers expect even more this year, Edgley-Turpin said.
